Each month, our teachers nominate a student they feel has gone above and beyond, and we get the opportunity to get to know them a bit in this blog!

Elementary School Student of the Month: Ian Chinchillas-Gastelum
Ian is a kindergarten student who was nominated for Student of the Month by Megan Reuscher:
“Ian always shows up to the live session with a big smile, and you can tell he’s genuinely happy to be there. He’s always encouraging his classmates and making sure everyone feels supported. Over time, he’s made incredible progress in his courses, all thanks to his dedication and hard work. Not only is he friendly and approachable to everyone, but you can really see how much he enjoys learning and being part of the group. He’s the kind of person who brings positive energy to every session!”

Question: What would you like your classmates to know about you?
I’m the smallest of 4 siblings, like going to the park and playing soccer. I really like camping and spending time with my family. I’m happy to be an online student at Primavera.
Question: What makes you a successful student?
The help of my learning coach and my teacher Mrs. Reuscher.
Question: What advice would you give other students to be successful?
To be kind and ask questions when they are not sure to be doing the right thing.

Elementary School Student of the Month: Kyra Griffin
Kyra is a 2nd-grade student who was nominated for Student of the Month by Sheri Loughry:
“Kyra participates with enthusiasm in all live sessions and is a wonderful “active learner”. She has made outstanding progress in her courses. Ky always has a smile and a contagious positive attitude and enjoys participating in our discussions. She is always respectful to her teachers and peers. She is a wonderful friend to all her classmates. Ky is a joy to have in class.”

I love to do school while at home with my family.

I love to read and I love to hang out with my friends.

I just practice! I love to learn new things.

Keep practicing! Sometimes things seem hard, but if you keep trying it’s not so hard!

I think the teachers are doing a great job. I love the fun activities they make for us.

Leia is a 3rd-grade student who was nominated for Student of the Month by Abbie Carnes:

Middle School Student of the Month: Stella Hill
Stella is a 6th-grade student who was nominated for Student of the Month by Dalia Zimmerman:
“Stella is an exceptional student whose dedication to her education is evident through her consistent attendance at live lessons. Her commitment and enthusiasm for learning set a positive example for her peers and reflect her strong work ethic.

Middle School Student of the Month: Conner Buczko
Conner is a 7th-grade student who was nominated for Student of the Month by Tamara Hoit:
“Connor is a dedicated and diligent student who consistently attends all his classes. He is a highly valued member of the 7th-grade community.”

Question: Why did you choose Primavera?
It looked like a good online school.
Question: What would you like your classmates to know about you?
I like dogs, cats, and birds. I also like to make videos that I upload to Youtube. I love playing basketball and gaming.
Question: What makes you a successful student?
Doing my assignments on time and asking for help when I need it.
Question: What advice would you give other students to be successful?
Work hard and don’t give up!

I want my teachers to know that I appreciate them.
Middle School Student of the Month: Unashia Brand
Unashia is an 8th-grade student who was nominated for Student of the Month by Alex Dunning & Natasha Pacheco:
“Mrs. Pacheco and Mr. Dunning would like to nominate outstanding student Unashia Brand for student of the month for 8th grade. Unashia’s presence in the live sessions are known with her active participation with the class, respect and engagement with her teachers and peers. When she doesn’t understand something, she attends 1:1 sessions and asks great questions to help her understand the more challenging concepts. She does a wonderful job checking in with the daily huddles and always has something nice to say and also get other students involved. We see all of the hard work she does in all of her classes to be the best student possible. She has also shared some of her talents in art and we look forward to seeing what she does in her future.”

Question: Why did you choose Primavera?
I chose Primavera as my preferred school because it offers a high-quality education that effectively meets the needs of its students. The school’s platform is online-based, which is quite convenient and easily accessible for families and students. Moreover, Primavera emphasizes the importance of responsibility by implementing structured programs that encourage students to complete their courses on time. This not only helps them develop a strong work ethic but also instills a sense of accountability, preparing them for future academic and life challenges.
Question: What would you like your classmates to know about you?
That I like to help others when they need it, I’m always going to speak my mind, if something doesn’t feel right, I will say something, and I’m a kind person who always has a positive mind.
Question: What makes you a successful student?
I will ask for help when I don’t understand something, no matter how hard something is I will try and find a way to do it, and I never give up when I mess up the first try.
Question: What advice would you give other students to be successful?
Do your best when somethings hard but don’t give up, always ask for help when you need it, if you can’t do something a certain way figure out another way you can do it.
Question: What do you want your teachers to know?
That no matter the situation I will always have a positive attitude, I’m always looking for new things to do, and I will always help others if they need it.
High School Student of the Month: Albert Dominguez
Albert is a 12th-grade student who was nominated for Student of the Month by Elyssa Greene:
“Albert is a wonderful student who deserves to be recognized as Student of the Month. He always shows up to live sessions and huddles, greets everyone when they join, and participates actively. Albert is respectful, communicates well with both peers and teachers, and creates a positive, welcoming atmosphere in every session. He’s a joy to work with and a great role model for others!”

Choosing Primavera has been the best decision I could have done for my child. The teachers & staff truly care for the students success & go the extra mile for them.

I really try my best to do the best I can.

The teachers here at Primavera are very helpful. Especially Ms. Ginger Balboni, thanks for all those extra hours you put in to help me succeed!

Just try your best that’s all you can do!

That I’m very grateful for all their hard work. And helping me understand when I didn’t.
