The winners of this year’s Arizona PBS Writing Contest, sponsored by Primavera, have been selected!
The children’s writing contest, which was open to all elementary school students across Arizona, asked students to imagine what the future of school might be like by writing and/or illustrating a fiction or nonfiction story. Students could be as creative as they wanted, too!
Lots of students entered the contest and we were impressed by the creativity. Everyone did a fantastic job and should be proud of their work!
Winners were invited to a special award ceremony at The Walter Cronkite School of Journalism and Mass Communication.
At this celebration, they had a reading from local author, Phoebe Fox, and were able to participate in a “create a new character” workshop.
They also enjoyed some delicious cupcakes!
